Celeste Knierim joined the NFCA Hall of Fame in 2003 after finishing her 30th and final season as head coach at St. Louis Community College-Meramec.
Knierim's heralded coaching career culminated with 1,042 victories, making her the all-time winningest coach in the history of NJCAA coaches.
Over her 30-year softball-coaching career, Knierim led the Magic to 13 NJCAA tournament appearances, and 23 MCCAC championships, including streaks of 10 and 11 consecutive titles. She was responsible for coaching 44 who garnered NJCAA All-America status.
A member of the NJCAA Hall of Fame, she earned a spot in Sports Illustrated for claiming her 1,000th-career victory.
Despite retiring from Meramec in 2004, she has remained active as a facilitator for clinics around the country. She also served as first alternate coach for the 1992 USA Pan Am team.
